Is It Time For A New Job?
HOW TO KNOW IT IS TIME FOR A NEW JOB
A. Someone is undermining you behind your back.
This can clearly happen when groups of women are working together. Someone new joins the firm and they are sucking up to your boss. This person continually brown noses, staying late and coming in early or laughing at every joke he makes. If you are two minutes late, they run to the Boss and tell him. Really? I get that as women, we should build each other up and not talk about each other but damn!
B. The Boss is nit picking on you.
All of a sudden, it is a problem wearing flip flops when you have worn them all last summer and most of this summer. Or, you didn't tell me I had court in this District not that one. Ah, hello, you look at the same calendar that I look at.
C. You haven't had a raise in 8 years.
You were hired 8 years ago and you have not had a raise. There were other perks to the job like getting a vacation, having sick days, if one of your kids gets sick, you can take the day off and still get paid.
D. You secretly want to strangle a Co-Worker.
Have you ever worked with someone who would smile in your face but would tell the Boss everything you do and say? What the hell?! Don't smile in my face and stab me in the back as hard as you can.
CONCLUSION
If any of these four things are going on, you should have found another job years ago. Don't be afraid to step out into the unknown and try for a new job, know your worth as an employee.
