My Favorite Christmas Movies

Number 1:

My all time favorite Christmas movie is It's A Wonderful Life. This movie is heart warming and it makes the viewer think about what would life be like if he/she were not in it. How would it be different? How many lives would be drastically changed if you had not been born? This is the rabbit hole that George falls down when he decides to take his life but is stopped by his guardian angel Clarence. So, Clarence shows George what the lives of his family and friends would have been like if he had never been born.

Number 2:

Another absolute favorite is The Grinch Who Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. The cartoon version is what I grew up watching and when the movie version with Jim Carey came out I watched it and loved it as well.

The Grinch lives on a lonely hill above Whoville and he gets so tired of hearing them celebrate and running around acting like Christmas is soooo great. This year he has an idea, he is going to steal Christmas, if they don't have their decorations or presents then what will they have to celebrate about? Nothing, that's what! The Grinch is going to teach those Whoville people a lesson they will never forget. He is the one who gets the lesson though.

Number 3:

I also love A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This story is a classic and I watch the movie every year. This is a story of redemption. I have always enjoyed the idea that Ebenezer has been given quite a gift. To be able to see how his past shaped him, how his present defined him and how his future would be if he did not change.

What are your favorite Christmas movies?
