They Grow up FAST!

This past weekend we had a Graduation Party for my daughter.  I planned & bought things for weeks in hopes that things would be perfect!!!  It really turned out great!!

My balloon display with her school colors turned out amazingly, I thought!   Sorry that picture is a little blurry...

However, I was a little bit disappointed with Walmart's Bakery on the cake...  It was wope-sided, icing wasn't what was ordered, wording ran into the banner, and it wasn't supposed to be yellow cake; but we made do!!

The PIG was GOOD!!!

I don't usually share pictures publicly of my girls/family on here because I'm paranoid lol.  So, this video probably won't stay public for long!!

However, for weeks I have been putting together pictures and home video clips to capture her life up til graduation to play at her graduation party that we had this weekend!  I thought it turned out well and wanted to let you all share my joy briefly..

(( SORRY VIDEO HAS BEEN REMOVED))

Kids grow up too fast!!  Seems like yesterday I was holding her in my arms for the first time.  I can't wait to see what life has to offer her!!!

Creative Tuesday

How are you creative?  There are so many ways one can be creative, and I never realized the depth of that until the internet.  I have found ways that inspired my creativity beyond my beliefs, and learned so many things.  Learning something new & fun is always a Bonus, Right?!

I thought it may be fun to share a few different things that I have found or like to do that I consider creative... and maybe some of you will share fun things that you have grown to love along you way, too!!  What'cha think??

A few weeks ago I shared a post, "Bringing Your Creation To Life" which was focused on one of my favorite, FREE, 3D Software programs ... Daz 3D.  This site has changed so much since I started playing with it.  There are so many talented designers there.. one day I dream of being one of them!  If you love animation or anything to do with creating characters, scenes, etc. make sure to check it out (www.daz3d.com) and share your stuff with us, we'd love to see it!!

Another great program that I have really enjoyed (haven't downloaded to the new computer yet, and I miss it) is MyMemories Suite... I downloaded this a while back and tried giving a free copy away on another one of my blogs.

MyMemories  Suite allows to you do all types of fun things with photos, like creating scrapbook type pages, objects, and even slide show books for your memories.  There are tons of creative people here that have complete page themes and objects for just about any project that you can think of (some free and others for low costs); and if you can't find it or don't wanna use what's available you can create your own!!   How cool is that!!  I love scrapbooking so this software was awesome in my opinion... especially since it took the basic scrapbooking to a whole new level with more ability to get creative with animations and awesome 3D graphics.

I also found countless ideas for creative gifts along the way... this was so FUN!!!  I love giving gifts from the heart, creative gifts, and personalized gifts as well.  I think that gifts such as these mean so much more to most people; but I could be wrong!!  I learned how to create...

  • Window & Wall vinyl Designs; which I have done many of as gifts for friends and even made a few $$ too!
  • How to Etch Glass; which I decided to personalize some glasses for a couple getting married as a gift. ((Turned out Awesome))
  • How to make a diaper-cake ((many of them)), which I get another request almost every time I make one!!  *Which I will be doing this week!!  ((My Diaper-Cakes))

There are so many ways to be creative, here are just a few that I have enjoyed!  What are your favorites???

Bringing your creation to life

As I have mentioned before, I love the creativity in scrap-booking, drawing, animation, and all that kind of stuff.

A few years back (before I really knew much about the computer) I came across Daz 3D.  It's a free program that aloud you to create beyond the imagination; however, it was a challenge to learn some areas.  I loved how it aloud users to bring their creations to life (so to speak).

I used to play around with it in my spare time, but at that was limited because I was working, going to school full time, and being a mom & wife.

When our computer crashed I never re-downloaded it onto the new one because I knew I didn't have time to really work in it like I wanted.   Well, tonight I decided to check it out; and there are some really talented people that create there!!

I love the new trailer.... check it out!!

Cool huh???  I sure thought so!

People have used this program to create art, book covers, comic illustrations, character design, freelance design, independent films, and even Hollywood production.  This is awesome; but I have to be honest, it can be complicated if your not used to some of the other design software and terminology.  I love it though!!

I would love to be able to create something amazing with it or bring a short story to life... maybe one day!  Until then.. I think it's time to install it again and have some FUN!

Here are a few things I did back when I had it before...  (be nice, I was a beginner)

Hopefully more to come!

What software's do you use to express your creativity?  Have you created with Daz 3D?

Creative Joy

As long as I can recall, I have loved to draw, doodle, and find ways to be creative! It brings a sense of calmness, relaxation, fun, and the joys of being creative in any way you possibly can! I'm sure this is the feeling we all get no matter what way we are being creative; drawing, decorating cakes, scrap booking, crafting, writing, and the list could go on and on!

When I was younger I loved to draw, and I was ALWAYS doing it; but sadly I haven't drawn anything with
a pencil in years.  For a long time I didn't have the time or quietness needed to sit down and do this anymore; so, I turned to scrap booking for a while.   I think having kids inspired me to want to capture and save every moment; and scapbooking gave me that as well as the creativity that I love!

When I decided to go back to school in March of 2010 I chose Web Design because I believed it would give me the opportunity to be creative and enjoy my passion for it. However, with all the pre`required classes, I didn't think I'd ever get to the actual classes for it (lol).  However, when I reached those classes they were code detailed than creativity based.   :(

As I researched Web Design related stuff I stumbled upon many areas of creativity that sparked my interests like no other... the ability to bring art to life.  No longer on a piece of paper, but on screen.  The possibilities are truly endless (if you have the $$, that is).

I grew a strong interest in the animation of characters and just how realistic you can make them look and react as well. I am really considering getting in the creation of gaming or something similar as I look for a new work adventure!!

There are so many programs out there that offer all types of realism through the computer and creativity for FREE that I have spent many hours playing with over the past few years! I enjoy playing with Daz 3D & Google Sketchup 8; and even though they both take some time getting used to, they both allowed me to enjoy being creative!

What about you all... What ways do you to express your creativity & get that creative joy?

The past few months I have not done anything Creative, but as I focus reconstructing me I want that to change!  I miss who I am when I am doing things that I love!!

Doing these things aren't for other's approval or to get glorification (or discrimination)... it is a feeling of peace that isn't easily explained.... it makes me happy in a way that nothing else does.  If that makes sense!?

My challenge to myself & you all... Is to be creative!!  Not all of us can draw, write a book,  or design a blueprint... but WE ALL HAVE A CREATIVE SIDE IN SOME WAY.  Challenge it!  Bring a joy like no other, a peace of mind...

Challenge yourself to do something NEW & BE SURPRISED when you succeed!!!  :)
